Five miles of Cape Cod beaches were closed to swimmers because of sharks, but summer tourists are fascinated. Tony Guida reports.

  • @jbrooks544 LOL dumbass

  • its jaws people.....come on....

  • I boated and swam in Chatham all weekend. There is no shortage of beaches open in Chatham, and Cape Cod in general, literally hundreds of miles of beach. This beach closure affects a few dozen people that would have swam at that beach this weekend. Please folks, the Cape is safe and open for business. One simpleton harbormaster, Stewie (Stewart Smith) has caused needless worry.

  • I hope all this irresponsible shark hysteria doesn't hurt the tourism industry on Cape Cod. The Chatham harbormaster, Stewart Smith, is a weenie head. I don't feel there is any real reason to close the beach. There has been no attack, and there won't be an attack. Guess what? There are sharks in the water. NEWS FLASH! Oh, and I wish these irresponsible news services would also report that Chatham is one small town on Cape Cod, and only a small part of their beaches are closed.

  • i just got back from cape cod and i met one of the guys who tagged a great white a few days ago, thats one badass predator
