Intro (0:02)

Verse 1 (0:16)
Ive been contemplating, suicide
But it really doesnt suit my style
So I think Ill just act bored instead
To contain the blood I could have shed
She makes me feel so weary
My heart is really on its knees
But I keep a poker face so well
That even mother couldnt tell

Chorus (1:13)
That my babys so vain she is almost a mirror
And the sound of her name sends a permanent shiver
Down my spine
Down my spine

Verse 2 (1:42)
Well I keep her photograph against my heart
Cause in my life she plays a starring part
Our love could hold on cigarettes
There is no room for these cheap regrets
She makes me feel so weary
My heart is really on its knees
But I keep a poker face so well
That even mother couldnt tell

Chorus (2:39)
That my babys so vain she is almost a mirror
And the sound of her name sends a permanent shiver
Down my spine
Down my spine

Solo (3:08)

Out Chorus (3:35)
My babys so vain she is almost a mirror
And the sound of her name sends a permanent shiver
Down my spine
Down my spine
Down my spine
Sends a permanent shiver down my spine

Enjoy

  • THanks for letting me know, I knew about the Nick Cave and Rowland Howard part but I didn't know about The Young Charlatans

  • The song was originally by The Young Charlatans and then recorded by The Boys Next Door, whose lead singer was Nick Cave. It was written by Rowland S. Howard in 1976.

  • No problem at all!!!

  • Another fantastic lesson. AWESOME! thank you very much for all your efforts!
