Newmarket residents Ryan and Brennish perform widely as the "Fiddling Thomsons." Besides fiddles, they play banjo, accordion, mandolin, flute, tin whistle, Irish flute, jaw harp, wooden spoons, rhythm bones, foot percussion, and are involved in demonstrating many different musical traditions.   • Thanks for the nice comment! Yes, most teachers do the same but its actually easier for a left handed person to play violin left handed, just as it is for a right handed person to play right handed. Its easier to control the bow with the dominant hand.

  • Congratulations on a lovely performance! The left handed violin playing is especially interesting as I have never seen it done so well before.

    I teach all of my violin students, including my left handed students, how to play the violin right handed.
