@wenzealand This is definitely NOT a UNI not. It is a loop knot used mostly for jerkbaits and topwater. A uni knot has the same wrapping procedure, but you can not leave a slack loop in it.

This knot is also called the Duncan Loop after its inventor, Norman Duncan. The knot was popularized as the Uni-knot by an editor at the Miami Herald in the 1960's.

this is a uni knot I use it for everything joining line with a double uni works great.

Isn't this loop the same as the UNI knot?
I dont't see any difference, but the UNI doesn't hold a loop, it will close whenever you pull it.
