Professor Kevin Hutchings of the University of Northern British Columbia presents a discussion about the art and music of William Blake. Inspired by the French Revolution and devoted to using creativity as a means of social protest and spiritual evolution, many of Blake's works still prevail, but his songs (yes, he was also a songwriter!) have all but disappeared.
With musical accompaniment by Sahra Featherstone (celtic harp, violin, flute, whistles, and vocals) and Jason Fowler, this series explores the power of music to inspire us to rise up, realize our destinies, and use our muses to bring about change at all levels of humanity.
