This is a short movie of 90049 being turned via Willesden Junction High/Low level stations when it was on hire to Virgin Trains on Friday 28th October. The 90 left Euston at 15:07 as 0Z90 and it has been captured arriving back at Euston following the turn movment. Quick unit leaps to capture every possible moment. It is very rare to see a class 90 on the High Level at Willesden and only a handful of them have ever done this move. Note that 90049 had to be turned due to a faulty wiper washer fault.

  • Nonetheless very rare to actually capture a class 90 on the high level at Willesden. It was first one I have seen in their 23 year history :-)

  • It does seem to happen a lot to locomotives on that section of track from previous encounters at this location - it is a very tight right corner, hence the screeching. It reminds me of the 142s on the now obsolete Oldham Loop.....Lol,.
