Pappy Sherrill and the Hired Hands play Pappy's tune "Cherry Blossom Waltz" at a festival in 1989.

Pappy was the long time fiddling partner of banjo player Snuffy Jenkins. They played together for over 50 years. Snuffy was the originator of the 3 finger style of banjo popularized by Earl Scruggs and others in bluegrass.

  • Great to see stuff from these guys on YouTube. Homer always was one of the best at the old fashion waltzes. Used to listen to these guys on radio many years ago and had seen them play in person. They were as good as the others who made it big on the opry. thanks for bringing back the memories.

  • only the best, thank you.
