Sloppy in places, but hey!
First time out for my newest guitar, a 'Vintage' take on a 'Thinline Telecaster', 'Vintage Advanced Series AV2HHS'. Nice guitar with twin, line tapped humbuckers.
Using the looper and playing through the Marshall 275 AVT I play an instrumental version of Steve's 'Rockin'Me Baby'.

  • Steve you are so good. Love the feel and the technical playing. How'd you get the harmony parts to the guitar? Is it a function of the looper?

  • Dear Mr. Bennet,

This is very a very beautiful interpreation of the song, a perfect finger picking style with a great solo. I just would love to play this song like this. What sort of lessons would you recommend, I will watch and listen to this video over'n'over again and try to learn it.

    Congratulations!

Ps. Do you play any JJ Cale song like this?

  • @bryansouza

Thank you Bryan, I've since bought a Mesa Boogie F50 combo which I adore, but a vintage Fender amp would be nice! maybe one day ;)

    Take Care

    Steve

  • @bennettskb555 Thanks Steve, I am and in part because of this video! About to take a drive with the wife to Ojai and gonna listen to Steve Miller! For the next trip gonna convert your videos to mp3's and listen to those on the ipod.

    Wonderful world we live in.

  • @ox092

    Great old song, thanks

    Hi Phillip

You're right the harmionies are done on the looper.

I pre-recorded the rythm, bass and harmony parts to the looper prior to the performance.

Great thing about the looper, once you've establkished a loop you can overdub as many parts as you want, up to a maximum of 16mins recorded time.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

    Take care

    Steve
