A video to the second book in the Sevenwaters trilogy, by Juliet Marillier.

Sixteen-year-old Liadan is the younger daughter of Red and Sorcha, and one day discovers her sister Niamh and a young druid *together* in the forest. All hell breaks loose due to a series of unfortunate telepathic events, and Niamh is married off at the earliest opportunity. On her way home from escorting the wedding party, Liadan is kidnapped by the Painted Man and his crew of unsightly outlaws so she can heal their wounded smith, Evan. She fails, but not before the entire group have fallen in love with her - including the aggressive, troubled leader.

It seems like the Painted Man (whom she nicknames Bran after the famous hero) will keep her with them forever, until he finds out that she's a daughter of Sevenwaters and sends her home angrily. Her twin brother Sean hears her thoughts as she approaches and takes her the rest of the way. It turns out Liadan is pregnant, and gives birth to a son, which does nothing to divert the attentions of her other suitor Eamonn.

After finding out that Niamh's husband is abusive, Liadan and Bran fake Niamh's death to let her be with Ciaran (the druid) and realise that their own feelings have in no way died. Liadan turns down Eamonn's suit for Bran, only to find that Eamonn has captured her lover - whom he sees only as a reviled, dishonourable mercenary - and plans to kill him. Being her mother's daughter, Liadan rescues him with the help of Fiacha, the *magic raven* lent to her by Ciaran.

~ Lyrics ~

D'you breathe the name
of your saviour,
in your hour of need?
And taste the blame
if the flavour
should remind you of greed?

Of implication insinuation
and you will, 'til you cannot lie still.
In all this turmoil, before
red cape and foil
come closing in for a kill

Come feed the rain,
'cause I'm thirsty for your love,
dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain.
'cause without your love my life
ain't nothing but this carnival of rust.

It's all a game, avoiding failure,
when true colors will bleed.
All in the name of misbehavior
and the things we don't need,
I lust for after no disaster
can touch, touch us anymore.
And more than ever, I hope to never fall,
where enough is not the same it was before.

Come feed the rain,
'cause I'm thirsty for your love
dancing underneath the skies of lust.
Yeah, feed the rain,
'cause without your love my life
ain't nothing but this carnival of rust.
Yeah, feed the rain
'cause I'm thirsty for your love,
dancing underneath the skies of lust.
Yeah, feed the rain
'cause without your love my life
ain't nothing but this carnival of rust.

Don't walk away, don't walk away,
oh, when the world is burning
Don't walk away, don't walk away,
oh, when the heart is yearning
Don't walk away, don't walk away,
oh, when the world is burning
Don't walk away, don't walk away,
oh, when the heart is yearning...
