How did u get your bass to sound so muffeled, and did you use a seperate mic for your bass drum cuz it sounds incredible

@in4r3d I'm using a 20" kick drum with 2, 4" sound holes cut in the back of the head. It's naturally "punchy" because of that and I'm using an Evans Emad kick pillow to muffle the front head. There is a separate mic on the kick drum.
