There was gold farming going on. And that could upset the balance of the games economy. That I can see banning or warning for, since they are trying to give you a RPG experience, you should get in trouble for doing things that will screw up the world based economy (if only that worked in real life...lol) since your not just affecting yourself.
As far as the low lvl players getting the loot... that's on Bio Ware. Just bad programming and execution.

@BigDaddyDarth I should not have to explain myself when google available for everyone to use. its as easy as a few clicks to find out the info.

@BigDaddyDarth Yes its the same group of sites i visited when i was searching

@BigDaddyDarth Not it wasn't snotty of me, I did look into it, how is it that i found that most people said it and that it was a exploit, In reality its up to the video poster to look this stuff up and find out the truth before assuming it was Game Industry Fascism.

Codemasters was the company that invented the GG, and licensed it to the companies I mentioned. I didn't mention them directly in the video, because I wasn't sure if Nintendo had sued them directly or not.
I do know that one of the reasons they are still hugely successful today is because the never left their Micro-Computer philosophies behihd. They defied Nintendo and evety other console maker by never licensing their games.
Google "The Old Republic Bans were not for visiting Ilum"
There was more to the story. ^_^

Sounds juicy, I'll read up on it. Thanks for the heads up.

Not,much more. They said they were going to ban...but did not. But did suspend. It still doesn't explain why low level players could even get to this loot nor why one planet could upset the entire economic balance of the game. Sounds to me like rushed programming errors and still not the player's faults.

It amazes me how few people understand the concept of voting with their wallet. When Capcom put out RE: Mercenaries without the ability to delete or reset your (single, solitary) save file, I immediately decided I wasn't going to buy it... even though I was jonesing for a new 3DS game. Their explanation that "the save data is written directly to the 3DS card where it can't be deleted" is total bullshit. They just wanted to control how we played the game, and make used copies undesirable.

I think this the point where we see the ugly side of gaming addiction. Where you and I might say, well they are being dip-shits...so no money for them. Others say, well they are being dip-shits...but I gotta have my resident evil fix! And I agree that a less severe response would have been a lot healthier for this game and Bioware all around.
