How To Be A Modern Man

The battle of the sexes and some cultural changes in modern times have left many men confused about their identity in society. The result of this are families with weak structures bound to become broken homes. Thats why father Phillip Chavez founded the Amator Institute.

Hi my name is Father Phillip Chavez and I want to introduce you to a new outreach in the Church assisting men towards understanding their masculine identity and aiding them to pursue their masculine journey as vital Christian men.

The mission assists men to rediscover their roles as leaders, protectors and providers in todays world. According to Father Chavez, men today have lost their identity due to the easy life of modern times and resort to watching action movies and playing video games to bring back the masculinity in their lives.

Theres a whole host of skills that men exercised in a very primal, visceral, adventurous kind of level and theyre just not exercising those things today. Things which stimulate them give them confidence, help them forge themselves in a difficult world.

Through his website, seminars, conferences and many outdoor activities, father Chavez instils in his followers what he calls the sonship identity referring to Christs identity as the son of God.

So I find that men arent following this image of Christ or rather this journey of Christ. Whats happening is they are not finding their security in their own sonship which is where it starts. Then we have to move into manhood and then fatherhood and maybe the mentorship stage.

Father Chavez says his mission helps men find their identity in order to be better husbands and fathers that can provide and protect their families in the modern world.
