This is a first step to teach Heeling.

Walk backwards with your dog in front. Move in a straight line. Feed treats with your hands centered between your legs. Feed a treat every 1-2 steps. Your hands should be touching your body. We want your dog close and moving with you. You should always feed the treat at dog-nose height. This will be high for big dogs and low for little dogs.

After a few sessions, keep your hands behind your back. After one step, bring your hand back in front (centered), and feed.Hands behind your back, 1-2 steps, feed. Repeat!

This is very important. When your dog is moving with you, and super attentive you will be ready to move onto the next steps.
