Horrible singing. Terrible. Heppner struggles through every performance that he sings and he looks like W.C FIELDS.
Her voice is forced, small, ugly.

How can Rattle and the Berlin Phil produce a Ring with such mediocre singers and a worse-than-mediocre production? Rattle is not the most exciting of Wagner conductors, and the Berlin Phil are not the most emotional orchestra, but both are wild horses against such dull, ununderstanding singing and performing!

Heppner ist immer noch gut...aber was für eine trostlose Inszenierung musste das gewesen sein.

Talk about a dull production...the wedding scene looks like something out of a rom com. The HD is particularly unflattering for the performers, as well...everyone looks so pasty and old!

Danke für den Hinweis - ist uns noch gar nicht aufgefallen. Fürs Erste werden wir aber weiterhin in 720p produzieren.
