From my site, Acting-School-Stop.com: This video takes actors through a short Stanislavski acting exercise. Stanislavksi-trained actors use sensory exercises like this one to re-create experiences through their 5 senses. Here, we're trying to re-create the feeling of what its like to be outside in the snow. You could use this if the character you're playing has just been outside in the cold, for example.

Adler is one of the respected Method forms of training, don't be afraid, learn about YOUR reactions to the real world and how to use them as a basis for your characters. Hope you continue to explore the work.

  • Dont waste your time, vlka. Read plays, act them out in your head. Read out loud for hours [to yourself] - join an acting class that focusses on getting your feet and DOING. Dont let these pseudo-gurus steal your passion.

  • thanks for this...im really confused, i want to take a 4 month class at lee strasberg studio but i'm sort of affraid since my limited acting training comes from adler, and i was often told not to try method acting. I guess it's always good to experience new things, in order to form your own "technique" i'll do this excercze when i get home :)

  • what is the beginning song?
