I haven't run into a single reputable security reviewer that in 2011 still recommends spybot. Maybe in a 1990 threat environment it was tops but that day has long since passed.

Sorry but I'd rather catch bird flu than go back to using AVG. After trying out several different free AV programs, I'd recommend either Avast, or Panda...Preferably with a good firewall. AVG tends to be a system hog, and doesn't detect much. It's truly horrible. Couple a good AV along with Malwarebytes, and you're good to go.

Zone Alarm pro security suite 2010.. is highly recommended. you will never have the nedd for any of these false Antivirus's on the market that dont do half of what they claim, all these creators want is your money and they sell you trash..

Best Advice i can give anyone is. If your looking for an Antivirus dont use free ones, Never download or pay for any Anti virus online, Best thing to do is hit a computer store and talk to someone who knows, I really recommend, the paid store versions of Zone Alarm pro 2010, as well as No Script, having both these installed on my system i never have computer issues or viruses, they dont use huge PC resources either. BUY from a store not online, and go with the best not cheap trash like AVG..

Trying to fix this internet mess AVG have made iss a pain in the ass. 1 of the worst Anti virus products on the market that i would not recommend to anyone. What used to be okay is now absolute trash due to all the Applications that an Antivirus should not have or needs. Bottom line AVG will fuck up your whole system, and its a nightmare to fix. Dont Use it. Period.

Mate ive used AVG free and it used to be a good product, these days it is full of applications that cause more harm than good, i would never use trash like AVG if you download AVG more than likely you will be disappointe. The biggest flaw with AVG is it hijacks internet connections, fine if you never uninstall AVG , but when you do uninstall AVG you will be left without an internet connection as AVG hijacks the network configuration settings leaving you with no internet
