Paul Wall Explains Why Album Sales Aren't As Important To Him

Last week, Paul Wall's new album Heart of a Champion got off to a slow start on the Billboard 200, selling just over 7,600 copies to debut at no. 58. But, the Houston rapper ain't mad. In fact, he feels blessed. Why you ask? Because he was able to drop another album ... and do what he loves: make music.

Wall told us recently, his career has blessed him with the finances to continue to work, despite not selling the major units he did with his 2005 debut, The People's Champ. This is why album sales aren't the biggest factor when he records.

@sonof817 Uh, yes he did. He's the reason why rap is still good now. He was able to bring a new style and flow to the rap game. Beastie Boys were good, but not as good. For you to say slims old stuff is better then his new stuff, just shows how much you actually know about rap. His new stuff is so lyrically advanced that it brings again another whole new stage to the rap game. His old stuff was good and his new stuff is even better. Hes just changed his style.

Hes right. Alot of albums have like maybe 1 or 2 good songs out of 20. But Paul Wall every album is good. All the songs 1-20+. All his music is good. Theres not 1 flaw to any music Paul wall puts out. Its all about Quality Not Quanity. Hes #1 in my book.
