Words can't explain how I felt when Leyritz hit the HR. A 3rd loss was inevitable with Wholers on the mound. Then lloyd getting McGriff to DP and Boggs walking with the BL. Game 5 Pettite 123 DP, Hayes keeping the run from scoring with the infield in and Oneills catch vs Polonia. The Game 6 Hayes ending it. IMO J. Buck who I do not enjoy listening to blew a chance and should've continue using The....are champions of baseball call for future endings.

By the way, does anybody shop at Mitchell & Ness (authentic sports replica apparel)? Well, I do. In the last couple of years since #27 I've copped crazy amounts of vintage Yanks gear from them. (Including two 1988-based authentic Yankee jackets.) And--1:58 & 3:39--just recently, they've added a 1996-based authentic satin dugout jacket to their vintage Yankees catalog. And man, you don't know how bad I wanted one (made by Starter then, I believe) back in the 90's! Especially by late-1998! So...

...you know I had to order me one! At $212 ($200-even plus $12 shipping) a-pop, you can't really beat that. Even today. I think the MLB satin jackets (Starter?) were originally $150 15 years back in the 90's. (The 1988-based satin jacket I copped from Mitch & Ness last year in 2010 ran me exactly $212 as well.) So, I ordered my 1996 satin joint (XL!) just today! Gotta have it, man!!! Long live the 1996 World Champions, son! Long live the 1998 World FUCKIN' Champions!!!!! 125-50, baby!!!!!

Mmmm...still remember it like it was just yesterday. Everybody--EVERYBODY!--said we didn't have nowhere near a chance to win it. I am so serious about that. I remember the disses. Especially after we went down 0-2 at home. But we came back. Took all 3 down at the Fulton County toilet bowl (thanks, Jimmy!) and, as they say, the rest is...you know what it is already! #23!!!!! I still say it's a shame Donnie couldn't get his ring. He deserved it. But at least Wade got his! No more '86 cry baby! :-)

This World Series was and still is my favorite along with the first for me in 1977 World Series by the Yankees...The other 5 World Series in 1978,1998,1999,2000,and 2009 but the 1977 and 1996 World Series by the Yankees just had something extra memorable in them.
