This is my first draft at making xbmc-live working with a acer revo. I still need to tweak the boot loader and that should be it.
- acer revo (single core)
- xbox irda (nodded for USB)
- xbox remote
- external DVD drive
- tvheadend stream (HDTV with vdpau on xbmc stable 9.11)

@NickRoeder yes you can view live tv in xbmc. but xbmc can't get tv from thin air, it needs to read the feed from somewhere. in my case it's tvheadend that let's me view and record live tv through satellite.
soon maybe we'll get the PVR addon for xbmc and then we'll be able set recordings within xbmc

So were you able to watch live tv in XBMC?
If so are you able to record it?

@revlimiter check out my blog post about this: blog.lvengine.com/articles/xbmc-the-best-media-center-available
basically you just need to burn the iso to a cd, boot the cd, install to hard drive and it should be running.
but the new xbmc version is way better and it doesn't have a live cd yet.. you need to upgrade it after OR try using right away this live cd from xbmcfreaks: xbmcfreak.nl/en/xbmcfreak-livecd-10-08-svn31632/

Hi, nice video!
I am trying to install XBMC Live 9.11 on my Acer Aspire Revo. I downloaded the distro from xbmc.org and loaded it onto USB stick. But when I start up my Revo it gets past the XBMC logo and then goes into a black Ubuntu command line screen.
Did you follow a guide to get XBMC Live 9.11 running on your Acer Aspire Revo? I am not at all familiar with Linux command line.
Any help is greatly appreciated. :) Thanks!
