Please, read at least one book of Mayakovsky's poetry and make an effort to read about his life. Being a little bit informed will liberate you from an urge to impose this shallow "recently scientists discovered" cliche on this great poet.

@BlueGreenAlgae1 The fact that he actually committed suicide is very disputable as well - murder seems to be more valid version of his death.

@AlfAccountaWaAccount Am I betting too much about what Mayakovsky would do ... Hm. The risks of losing that bet are so huge considering Mayakovsky is just one college literature's class away from becoming obscure and insignificant and forgotten. What could I possibly lose? For instance, I know Harlan Ellison and I knew Allen Ginsberg. Neither of them were familiar with Mayakovsky, nor could speak Russian. So really, do fans of M. really stand to gain much by chasing off other fans?
