@reidcook59 I'm in a crappy high school band and that still happens xD. This song is beautiful. I have second alto part, which creates tension with a ninth (i believe) and then resolves. It's so beautiful.

@isudude0913 I'm at Wartburg College, playing in the symphonic band, and we just got to work with him last night. He really bares his soul in his music. when he conducted us through it, I broke out in a sweat and chills when we hit the triple fff. Amazing man.

I love this piece. Its very beautiful and emotional. I played this with the Alaska all state band under the direction of a personal friend of the composer. I play oboe, and it gave me chills from beginning to end.
