The loss of innocence is depicted by the white flower changing to red, I gather!

My understanding was that the Dean of the school explained what had happened and Agusta's friend Hector was just stating with the kiss, that he was available if he wanted to kiss anyone. Loved this short, as well as "Guilty As Sin".

@StewNWT I think that he thought the other guy was making fun of him.

Where was this film made? Melbourne? The boys look like 30 year old accountants in shorts so it is hard to feel much anguish for their tortured self discovery.

Little Augusta is darling, but how cruel it will be for him when he goes on to study
ancient Roman history, to find that only women bore his name spelled that way!
The masculine form was "Augustus". Schoolmaster Goodwill is hot!

I liked this short. I saw elements of bonding, awareness, confusion, friendship and a sexual awaking through the imagery of the white and red flowers.

what was the significance of the flower?( white turning red)

aww poor augusta has a crush on the teacher and was not paying attention to riding. just because he has a crush on the nice looking teacher he still needs to watch it!

@walkingkodi Sexual repression or urges might be what you are talking about. However 'hormones' don't control sexuality ;P and in the case of the protagonist, his ostracism supports the fact that his sexuality rather than his sexual urges is foreign to his peers.

It's an all boys school. The testosterone level is high and they are all being controlled by their whore moans.

Two males can be close without having sexual desires. They can love each other. Never had a best friend? It's usually not called love, but it is that form. Love is a varied emotion.
