  • dont mean to be a downer, but seriously, even with an adapter the CMOS sensor really wrecks this model. are all canon consumer camcorders like that? the jello, or at least wobbly effect is very apparent in the first few frames....i guess im sticking with the 3MOS sensor in the Pan TM700k..don't wanna risk this

  • @kudjo24 ya that hdc tm700 puts out some nice images and really good low light, im impressed, but its still a CMOS camera so it will still have the rolling shutter jello.

i got to test out a panasonic hpx300 at my church and omg, worse rolling shutter ever

but i'd still CMOS/3MOS over ccd anyday, CMOS has less color noise and totally immune to CCD smearing.

  • @magoostus tell me about CCD smearing? i'm not familiar with that term. apparently 3MOS is the new CMOS, which is why i think it's worth a try since they say 3MOS sensors are just built better to handle light issues and rolling shutter. but CCD smearing is something I've never heard of.....and they're expensive too, bleh, what do you think about a canon 550d rig??

  • @kudjo24 google CCD smearing. you'll find tons of info.

CMOS is totally immune to that

also, cmos and 3mos are essentially the same thing. 3mos= 3 CMOS sensors vs. just 1. It still has rolling shutter, it's an issue of the way CMOS gathers and transfers light.

ya ive looked at the 550d aka T2i. id personally go for the 7D, maybe even a 5d mk2. i heard from a canon rep. that the t2i/550d and 7D have the same sensors, but the image processing behind them is different

  • can you please make a video where you can see how you connect the camera with the lens..and where give us more onformation about the lens...price...PLEASE!!!!

    thx

  • that particular adapter was attached with ductape and a hose clamp, it looked pretty hideous to be honest, i've been building a newer adapter.

i really think your better buying a 7d or 5dmk2, way better edge to edge sharpness and light sensitivity

  • Are the corners supposed to have that black shadow? Is it from the lens or..?

  • So can you use your camara lens on the Nikon video camara you're using? Cuz I have a Nikon lens that fits an old fujifilm camara body.

  • @magoostus damn, ill look it up. how well do you think an adapter on the pan TM700k would do? im just looking for a cam which can shoot HD and handle a war movie i.e. lots of motion , jerking around. i think it's getting nearly impossible unless I save up for a $2grand canon or CCD panny

  • Lol, what the heck is this song??

  • I got the camera little while ago and love it. I'm going to steal your preset though becuse it looks beautiful. Thanks =p

I want to get a lens because of this video but to be honest I'm not sure what to get.

    5 stars.
