A short film about the elevated train system in Chicago, more commonly known as the "L" train. Made in 2009/2010 for my Documentary 1 class at Columbia College Chicago.
Assignment: portrait of a location.

  • The visual energy of this short was quite impressive. Your talent seems grounded on commercials with sophisticated style. How were you able to get those frontal shots of the rails from train?

  • @o2theh There's a window at the back of the train. I just shot it from there then put it in reverse. Glad you liked it!

  • Nice short film about something that is important to many folk. It documents the fusion of an old (120 yr. old system) with new transportation technology. Thanks for posting.

  • Really nice work! It reminds me of a documentary on the El number 8 made in the 50s 0r 60s that was ahead of its time. I have it on dvd, but cant seem to find it on youtube. Anyhow, great work. You have it going on.
