Hi 1Batt,
It certainly would be worth trying, when I didn't have jungle cock I simply leave it out as there's many top flies out there that don't need it like the Willie Gunn, Ally's Shrimp and the Cascade...

I just finished reading the article on the calvins shrimp and then checked if you had any new videos! Could you do a video on your fly tying area showing where you actually tie and maybe some rare materials because Id love to see the environment you work in? Great fly and thanks

I really like this fly by Ross McDonald as I'm sure it will take a few fish this year.
If I showed you my tying area you would be disappointed much like I am with it, my son's a joiner so I'm hoping this year to get my tying area into order, I'll maybe show it off then...
