  • Wow, this is a wonderful video. I love the Weather Channel , especially in the 90's. Thank you so much for posting.

  • My pleasure! :) I am glad you enjoyed the video. I'll be uploading more classic Weather Channel over the next few days and weeks.

  • I miss the old graffics and map designs that TWC had back in the 90s. It was even easier to see too.

  • TWC should have left their old logo alone. Starting around 2005, things on twc got really worse. Now, actual weather forecasts are hit or miss.

  • I've heard the music in the second local forecast on weatherscan before.

  • I remember begging the crap out of my dad for one of those DTN WX computers...

  • This is from the day my son was born. Thanks for posting!

  • wow Vivian Brown looks the same

  • Ahhh really takes you back

  • I know, newer TWC has too many other programs is because back then internet weather was in its infancy, because high speed internet was not available and PC's was too expensive. And I thank over the years viewers got tired of seeing the same thing tuned in.

  • Love the moon icon! :)

I like their graphics from the late '90s, they were kinda high-tech but they still had an old feel. Their HD stuff is a lot different.

  • I love the old weather channel, too many "other" programs now...

  • Only one record high that day? The very next year, 1998 would be among the second hottest years on record since weather records in this country began somewhere in the late 19th century, & that was because of the El Nino patterns that happened later in the year.

  • I agree. It looked a LOT better!
