    Yes. there are metals like lead and other toxic elements on it's construction, but the most dangerous part about it is that an operating CRT may keep huge electrical loads inside it, even if not plugged for some time.

    And the other part why they must be recicled with care by trained people is that they are vaccum tubes, so it may implode if hit hard enough.
