why wouldn't it be poplar in the US? I mean if your an American wizard, I doubt that baseball or football would be of any interest to them. and anyway, quidditch strikes me as being an equivelent to soccer which is internationaly populer.
I'm not sure. I just remember reading somewhere (QTTA I think) that Americans weren't as into Quidditch and they had some other main sport like how they have baseball & football as the main muggle sports and england tends towards soccer and rugby.

They'd just better stay true to the books if they did (which would mean no AQA as Quidditch isn't all that popular in the US...)
