  • @GunWebsites

i have an anodized, heavy barrel sa58 by dsa, and want to set it up as a SASR ( semi automatic sniper rifle) do you think it is worth a damn for that purpose? i;ve heard of accuracy aout to 800 yards with similar SASR's before? could i set it up for a long range sniper, and shoota accurately.

  • @TheBowhunter1990

I am no expert, but you could do a lot worse... having a semi-auto is good for close work, and it's can hold it's own for longer ranges too

  • How can you review an FAL without mentioning the adjustable gas system and piston?

  • @WWYDdotORG

It was a quick look, not an in depth review

  • Why do they not recommend using certain types of ammo in it?

Their website (DSA) has a page titled ammunition warning, with a whole list of types of ammunition you should not shoot through the gun.

  • @gorak142

well .308 and 7.62x51 can be an issue.. is that what you are talking about?

  • How did you get that rail on the front?

  • I fired one of these, it had the railed handguard and a bipod, though i think it might have been an original FAL because my brother's friend told me it had the full auto mechanism inside but disconnected from the selector. It had a rail on top too and I could hit things fine at 150+ without a rear sight or optics. was hella loud though.

  • I saw a dsa like this at a gun show and he said he'd let me have it for $900. It was such a great deal but my dad didn't want me spending that much cause it was used :/

  • I have owned one for about five years and love it. I also love my ar's and my Rem 700 heavy bbl. with 14x scope and Timney trigger. I can hit a beer can at a 100 yrds. with my FAL, I can hit an eyeball with the 700. Like others have said, the scope mounting is not optimal on the FAL and not much you can do with the trigger. It's a main line battle rifle and a blast to shoot. As a sniper, make sure you get close.

  • Can you do a more on depth review your vids are awesome thanks fellas keep up the awesome work

  • good piccatiny rail.

  • I want a FAL so bad.

  • @TheBowhunter1990 The FAL is a BATTLE RIFLE, not a precision platform... Too much upper receiver flex to be precision, and it has a trigger that is not very refineable. Get a cheap Savage Accutrigger for precision and let the FAL be the weapon that takes you to hell and back...
