I don't care if her voice is uneven. She doesn't sound like someone singing a piece of music. The music is just this Romeo's normal way of expressing himself.... And there is something magnetic about being absorbed by what a character is feeling rather than just getting to admire someone singing beautifully about something the character should be feeling. Music becomes something more than just itself when it is serving a communicative function!
