@1neLoveEnt I picked up a Sony NEX-5 for £250 on ebay the other month as a B camera. Works exactly the same as the VG10 without a few of the manual controls.

And the pal verson is better not only because its 25p, but still the same 24mbps as the 30p, so less compressed per frame :)

@1neLoveEnt Im fourteen and saved 1000 fucking quid. Takes ages but im trying for this camcorder. Im about 400 pound or so off.

@jonnybseven thank you! I'd maybe hold out for the VG20 or NEX-7 now though - they'll be using the AVCHD 2.0 codec which means variable frame rates and also, I think a sensor slightly more optimised for video. The VG10 is a great piece of first gen product though, even with it's limitations...
