I took lessons from a guy named Suresh in Udaipur who was a lot better. The guy in this video was a jerk in a tourist trap, Suresh was honest and truly talented. Screw me for not having more video of Suresh (and screw technology for limiting me on how much I can film with my camera).

kolkata is THE place to buy sitars from , 220 $ is reasonable I would say, and where do you intend to learn from?

I've had the sitar over a year now and it has come out of the case a handful of times. I'd like to learn, but I'm primarily a guitarist.

he was really cool, knew a lot of beatles tunes too. they were really over priced (probably because our auto driver wanted commission). i ended up buying from a guy in udaipur, paid about $220 for a middle-of-the-line. really fun.
