I literally **JUST** got this thing-- you can see the packing materials scattered at my feet. But they say the strum stick is the instrument that anyone can pick up and play immediately, and I guess that's true-- it's a bit out of tune, here, as I hadn't even gotten my little digital tuner out yet, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing yet, but it sounds okay for having just pulled it out of the box and plugged it into my Honeytone mini-amp.

This is an Electric Fire Stick-- a solid-body strum stick (not Strumstick-- that's copyrighted)... Strum sticks have fret boards like Appalachian dulcimers-- they're diatonically fretted. (It's the equivalent of a piano with only white keys.) They're tuned to a chord, so that two strings can just drone along while a third plays a melody. Or you can figure out more complex chords on 'em.

I really liked the droning sound. I wish I'd recorded a second time with a bit more distortion on the amp-- it sounds pretty awesome like that.
