Chippewa Square, Savannah, Georgia

April 1st, 2008 at Chippewa Square. Just a typical afternoon in the Square as residents and the tourist make their way through. One of Savannah's most popular Squares, it is but one of the 24 squares in the Historic District.

There were originally 24 squares but Liberty,Elbert and Ellis were all lost due to to either a parking lot or the civic center.Ellis square was recently restored but (to me) is much different then the other squares.

I think (?) this is the square they filmed Gump in - when he was sitting on the bench.

I loved the squares there - very pretty nad peaceful.
