  • @omoshiroidayo its a G sharp. and with an open string it wouldnt fit in the key!!!

  • 1:45 too bad you cant play a "g". its a gflat...it would be so much more powerful and way eASIER to play with the free string.

  • This video is really interesting. Now I know Huggett is not only a good violinist, but also a good teacher.

  • I'm an electronics engineer IEEE certified and play electric and accoustic

a Type-A Vibrato does not alter the volume of an audio signal on an ossilloscope

Vibrato is a change of pitch not amplitude

Now we get to break that rule , we can change amplitude of a signal to create a Type-B vibrato based on amplitude.

or we can even effect the signal by using both kinds of vibrato at the same time.

Monica Huggett your vibrato is perfect.

  • Wow, this is exactly what was stumping last summer when I was learning the piece. Thanks Huggett... Her playing is absolutely incredible and sublime.

  • This lady rules.... its like shes a violinist from the pre-1820 Spohr Chin rest & definately pre-shoulder rest era lol, Gut strings too... baroque bow... how ever I do suspect the has some cushoning under her shirt lol- Only because the angle and height that she holds the violin is amazing. Would love to hear her play Bachs D minor Chaconne!

  • Very interesting video! Thank you!

  • Great teacher of the Baroque Violin
