1:15 Norman Prescott was a radio DJ and 1950s scientist.

Pretty sure Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott also did "TARZAN LORD OF THE JUNGLE", which aired in 1976. I think they used Frank Zane Mr. Olympia('s)1977-78-79 physique.

Very cool. Great Upload. Thanks for this.

Helluva bluff that Scheimer pulled off. Great con;).

Watch real classic Warner Bros, MGM, Fleischer, Walter Lantz and Disney cartoons, and tell me again, with a straight face, that this vermin belongs in the same category.

@porcorosso81, Filmation= classic cartoons.
-
Filmation = destroyer of cartoons.

The Rotoscope was only part of the story.
They hired skilled Animators to do "stock actions" that they reused. FLACH GORDON came out in 1980, was supposed to have been a theatrical feature backed by Dino deLaurentus. When that didn't materialize, they have a lot of well animated scenes to fall back on again for stock action. This explains the quality of the animation of the space ship.

Plus, cartoon series loosely based on classic literature--JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH--and movies (FANTASTIC VOYAGE).

I remenber a "Family Guy" episode when Meg date the narrator (voiced by Seth Mcfarlane) and his voice really sounds like the original one.
Simple.. they made some of the cartoon series that influenced todays cartoons. But if you need a small list of filmations work here goes.
He-man and the Masters of the universe
Bravestarr

That was a interesting story on the begining of "Filmation" and how they basically bluffed there way to do their very first cartoon show, and what better way to start then doing "Superman"..they created a lot of good cartoons from the late 60's thru the 80's. From Superman to He-man, what a ride they had, created a lot of good cartoons and memories.
