  • should i use both arms?

  • Can I do this before baseball season?

  • I do this not so much as a pre-game thing, but as a shoulder strengthener. I'm a catcher, but I'm 14, & can sit 75, & touch 79-80, so I'm obviously used as a pitcher as well(plus I've pitched since I was like 4). My whole shoulder routine take 30-45 minutes,& it is a bitch, but since I started it, I haven't had an arm injury, & have gained some 10-15 mph.

On game day(when I'm pitching, or catching with an already fatigued arm), I only do 1 set of 3 pound weights and I don't do free motion.

  • Not bad, but I don't think it's necessary to do it on a table. I do something similar, everyday for arm strength and a healthy shoulder. I use 3 pound weights and go through a series of exercises, and do 2 sets of 30 everyday. I also do free-motion on a machine 3 times a week, doing things like lateral raises, raises in front, one similar to the external rotation in this video, and reverse as well.
