Obviously this guy looks like somewhat of a douche/poser.
I however, have a question to propose to all of you: Aren't you glad he's playing something that sounds very similar to early SY/nowave? I mean, I'd much prefer a demo of someone playing atonal/monochordial stuff on a guitar meant for that than generic blues with an overdrive pedal through a marshall with full reverb, which is what the other demos seem to be. He could've played more and not danced, but this is still decent.

fuck the haters.
This is at least the same texture as Thurston's playing.

Good lord, people get over it. If you don't think this sounds like Sonic Youth, and you don't know who DNA, Arto Lindsay, or even Fred Frith are, chances are you don't know what Sonic Youth sounds like. This guy isn't trying to be a "great" player. He's trying to play it the way THE BAND would play it.
-
Ironically the further away from pseudo Sonic Youth posers like above the cooler this guitar becomes - I like both this one and the Lee R model - but not for sonic youth style crap.

this is an amazing guitarr that`s all, and of course sonic youth sounds like that, well little bit, jeje good guitar...
-
People insulting this guy have probably no idea of what Sonic Youth sounded like in the 80s
He might be a hipster but who cares. I honestly prefer this to the same boring video with a guy showing us how to play the fastest alternate picking ever.

respect the youth motherfucker

@EiermannTelevision How does that make this guy any less of a hipster douche cliche?
And I'm familiar with Sonic Youth & this guy still blows chode.

you know originally i hated everything about this because you kinda strike me as a poseur, but then i thought about it. for a sonic youth type sound this is early but decent. if you work a little on finger placement this could be pretty good
Amazing that you don't feel embarassed posing like this. Possibly the shittiest guitar demo ever. There's nothing wrong with not having the chops but when you film yourself all dressed up like a indie cliche and make indie faces while playing a random chord on your indie cliche guitar you deserve at least an internet bashing. Spend less time in front of a mirror and practice more. Thurston Moore's clipped off toenails have more music in them than your pathetic video.
