"Lessons with him can be very painful" wow... Compassionate my ass. I'm glad learning is based on fear and not learning quickly enough results in pain.

@KelGhu Ha ha these sneaky chinese masters have gotten everyone confused with their distorted information.Ive read this shit all over the place, this is my last comment and im not replying afterwards I know what im talking about, you dont.I can bet my life on it you cant take a punch to the torso from a man weighing over 100kg.

I actually removed my comment way before you answered. I did that because I realized it was not constructive. I still don't agree with you. But this is a difference in teaching. I perpetuate my father's teaching he received from Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang and it is probably a little modified. We go the other way, Jing to Chi to Shen. And I do teach Tai Chi. Sorry, but I don't think you're as knowledgeable as you may think you are. But some tui shou should settle this.

@KelGhu Im sure you dont have any internal power and that you are just repeating what you read somewhere, its ok though there are alot like you and its not your fault. You need to transform the chi you have drawn in from the universe into jing through special practices to be able to inflict damage on someone or send them flying, as i said people cannot feel your chi even if you practice qigong and have alot circulating inside of you, it needs to be transformed.Class is closed, goodbye

The "essence" of tai chi, is the complete qigong and neikung meditations that enable you to develop your jing, which is your internal power. Its not chi like most people think it is , we all have chi and people can not feel your chi(even if you draw more in from the universe) ,they can only feel your jing! cultivating your jing inside of you to be able to inflict some damage on some physical object or person requires the correct secret trainings and alot of time and effort.

This man seems to have missed the point of Taoism all together. "I want to be a God" "I want" "I want" - Taoism is not about "wanting" or forcing an outcome to happen...
-
the guy in black headgear wants to live forever and be a taoist god ?? lmao.

I think I found my way.

Aye, I don't mean official Tao martial arts, but 'fighting styles' associated with Taoism. There are various historical martial arts that aren't "based in Taoism" but draw influence from ideas such as yin yang, etc
The difference between wudang and shaolin are the same differences in Zen and taoism. Similar techniques, different focus. Both have external and internal aspects. Wudang deals with balance. Shaolin deals with oneness. Both are extremely powerful. It's like comparing a father who farms/crops well, and his son, who can plant flowers, trees, and other plants exceptionally. Similar skills, different focus.

It does not matter if external or internal is better, next to refinement of skill, being like madame lee is what matters. Compassionate and mercyfull.
