http://www.guitar-review.info review of Real Tube Overdrive guitar pedal by BK Butler and Tubeworks. How to clean, how to fix, how to replace the tube, and how it sounds with a 12AU7 vs. he 12AX7 that comes standard. This is some of the best natural distortion that money can buy!

  • Could you make a review of the Real Tube pedal, there's not a lot of info about it, thanks.

  • No criticism here...just a clarification. The 12AX7 doesn't define the "British" sound, as nearly every American made (including Fender) amps use this common tube in their pre-amp section. Rather it is the Power tubes that define the British tone. The most common of these are the KT88 and the EL34's that are associated with Marshall amps. Fender amps commonly use the 6V6 and the 6L6 in the power section, with the 12AX7 being common to both these amp manufacturers. Thanks for the post...nice job.
