@ironwolg i'm an artist too, and really don't care at all if people listen to the music here, it helps to get some fans at least...and music is passion, is selfish do it just for money...and yeah, great if people buy your records, but just some nice words or a smile of someone that enjoys your work it's an amazing feeling

@Emrod82 Epic fail. "The Silmarillion", google it... Warhammer Eldar are based on Tolkien Eldar but this is clearly an homage to the original.

@lynad2 there's a lot that has been done about it. no, it won't go away completely but file sharing has gone down significantly. and i do plan to be selling my work, so this will be a problem for me so i'm fighting it to help start my career

@ironwolg Even if you disagree with sharing music, there's not much you can do about it: it's not going away, no matter how many laws you pass. It has been shown that it is possible to be successful and earn a living without selling your work: take xkcd. Is it hard? yes. Is it significantly harder than earning a living solely as an artist is anyway? Not really. Like it or not, you can't rely on people not sharing music on the web.

Also, on the whole, I have a low opinion of law-abiding citizens.

@Mithcoriel because i'm an artist and one day this will be my problem too, so i'm trying to fight it now rather than wait till i've actually got a career in it. big bands like blind guardian arent' the only ones that have their songs thrown up on youtube, smaller bands have this problem too which can really hurt their chances of success if people just hop on youtube and put all of their songs onto audacity.
