At first I didn't think I would be to interested in watching this movie but I finally did and the movie was AMAZING!!! I didn't expect what I got out of it. It was such a beautiful film...I would definately watch it again.

This is one of the most moving and capturing cinematic experiences I have ever fallen into. Watch the movie, if you are black, white, yellow, brown, mixed, born here, born there, born period, it has something for you, be patient throughout, take it in, you will find you are all the wiser for having seen this movie. I only ask that you begin with an open mind thank you

this flick was excellent. I've always loved movies about the Indian American experience. The actors who portrayed the parents were amazing. I love Cal Penn and I think he needs to do smart and heartfelt work like this and stay away from those National Lampoon and Harold and Kumar scripts.

he seems like such a funny, genuine guy....and he strongly resembles my brother haha
And yes the movie was wonderful, all of my relatives went by the masses to see it lol And im reading the book right now, Kal is right--Jhumpa Lahiri writes in such a detailed way you can picture the images in your head so clearly, like a movie.
