    This is one of those memories that makes your heart ache for those long-gone, glorious days of being a carefree kid. I remember seeing this ad when I was 5, in '87. Lots of good memories. But, in a way, it's hard for me to watch this commercial, because of all the childhood memories I have, and this will be the VERY FIRST Christmas I EVER spend, without my mother. : (

    I live in America, and in the 80's we had them, and they were called Sylvanians. I never heard of Calico Critters until you mentioned it.

    yes, they still make Sylvanian Families except in the us they call them calico crittters but in the uk and japan they call them sylvanian families

    @twigggie...i wrk @ a toy store...i never knew these existed!! they are called calico critters now..thats crazy i didnt know 1/2 of these toys were around
