The other European nations who were involved in the slave trade would have to go to the Swahili Coast, the people who lived there were in debt and so participated in the trade to pay off their debts. British industries benefited because their merchandise was used to carry on the trade, making the trade illegal raised prices so Brittan could benefit from the trade even more
