TMBG Heaven presents

" I Need Some Lovin' "

a Dial-a-Song song.

Featured on the bootleg "The Power of Dial-a-Song"

www.tmbw.net says:

-The vocals for this song were supposedly taken from a song by Jem And The Holograms directly off a cassette tape that came with the toys, on top of which John and John laid their own beat, and released the song on Dial-A-Song. Chances are, however, that the Johns made this story up. First of all, a male voice that is probably Flans sings a few words on the recording. And a kid's tape would likely not offer a suggestive lyric like "brass bed with a sign that says no one rides for free." On top of that, "dry the ocean of tears rolling down my spine" is undeniably a TMBG original lyric.

-For further proof, see the lyrics page at jemunlimited.com, which contains lyrics to each of the Jem cassettes but nothing remotely similar to the lyrics of this song.

-The bridge is similar to the bridge of Lie Still, Little Bottle.

  • The video editing for this is awesome. Do I hear a "Doris Cunningham" tidbit at 1:45?

  • Doris Cunningham indeed. :-)

  • Don't we all...

And who doesn't miss Bill Nye the Science Guy?
