The Field Music Group of the United States Military Academy Band West Point New York. They are the last actual functioning field music group in the US Army.
The opening sequence is HellCats Reveille which used to be played every morning commencing at5:50am. this is from the cannon to the notes of reveille. Excerpts are "Oh how I hate to get up in the morning," On Brabe Old Army Team, Over There, and I think The Dashing White Sergeant.
I had the opportunity to learn from members of the Hellcats as a member of the Cadet Field Music Group during my tenure at West Point. What a great group of musicians; utter professionals, among the best in the business, in my humble opinion.
my husband is a former Hellcat - met him up there! Always loved watching them in action.
