I don't think we emphasize Mary much more than other prodestants and I don't think other prodestants ignore her. I will assume that this guy is ELCA though because he doesn't seem to think that Jesus can judge, a complete contradiction to the bible.

@nschaub We refers to Lutherans as a whole, and I'm sorry, I watched another video where you agree with the creed so I may have misheard you. The phrase that got me in this clip was "What they did was turn Jesus into a judge, I'm being silly to make a point" Maybe you just didn't realize how that sounds and meant something else.

@Mcstroke57 Thats great, no one should follow man made doctrines or traditions! Do you drive a car or take the bus? Hopefully not as I know you dont do anything not found in scriptures. Unfortunately you allude to the idea that you do not celebrate the nativity of our Lord, but yet label yourself a Christian. I will just call that ironic. However I do know that you lack a severe understanding of the Roman Catholic church and for that I will forgive you.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches unbiblical doctorines and celebrates Pagan holidays like Christmas. Also pray to Saints and Mary which is completely unbiblical.

Catholics do not worship Mary and do not adore Her. Catholics venerate (hyperdulia) Mary as mother of God (Theotokos).

Through special grace she was borne with out original sin (immaculate conception) for she was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. Because she had no original sin, she did not die, but was taken up to heaven just before (dogma of the assumption of Mary) or Dormitio Virginis or Kimisis for the Orthodoxs. Trust me: I am an atheist and I have read well the Bible and Gospels ;)

I think this Lutheran minister does not know what he is talking about regarding the Catholic Church. No Catholic worships Mary.
