to be detailed david chaise didnt say what happend to the russian because he thinks good old movies need unsolved mysteries :D he hates the fact that the audience wants to know every little thing going on

Well I have to be honest. Did not remember that fact. Chase was just messing with people. He meant it to be ambiguous. The more people have these questions, the more DVD's they sell. I would guess that the way they built Valery up as being this tougher than nails guy, they wanted you to think that he escaped.  The point of the episode really was to show what incompetent fools Chris and Paulie were.

He probably bled out or froze to death. The whole point of the episode was to show what a bunch of putzes Chris and Paulie were. "Put universal remote back in docking station." That is all that Paulie had to do to avoid all of this.

Paulie: The Cuban Missile Crisis. Fuckin cocksuckers had missiles pointed right at us.
