This is propably the first TV-performance by Slade. The single was released in 1969 but didn't reach the charts.

There are some great photos of Slade as skins with Jimmy Cliff in a 1969 issue of the Radio Luxembourg mag Fab 208. They looked well'ard in that, and danced the reggae too.

I know that they would have never made it as skinheads, but I think they look the best here, but I'm biased I guess having been a skin for 20 odd years now. I agree that Jim and Dave didnt quite pass, but Noddy and Don certainly fit the part.
