Associating with a slogan like 'Don`t Think', aren't Adidas basically asking the public to suspend their critical faculties when it comes to selecting consumer goods? I guess 'Stay stupid, buy Adidas' didn't make it through the brainstorming session in the marketing office. The Godfather of Advertising, David Oglivy, asserted that one is never selling a product but a lifestyle. Buy Adidas and you are buying into an overpriced world of blind consumption and hipster-stupidity... with face paint.
